there was an unexpected guest this evening. here's baby maya, my sisters and i actually call her/him(?) baby chirp chirp, for the chirping sound she emits every now and then. we found her clinging on a branch of a plant inside the terrace. she can't fly yet and since we have a pet cat, we held her in an improvised cage, lest she'd be eaten alive. once she's strong enough, we'd let her fly out.

all the while i thought my sunday's going to pass just like the others. late in the afternoon, i received a txt message from an old friend, june. she asked if we could meet up and instantly replied yes. i attended mass first with nanay, then met up with her at jollibee. still got no plan on where to go and what to do, i suggested that we go eat at shakey's. as expected - nonstop kwentuhans while having dinner. nanay joined in after a while. since we still got no plan, we went to tita grace to resume the kwentuhans.
so there goes my sunday night =)

was at jeff's and owsi's house last night. it's jeff's birthday this 14th, so owsi invited us over.
i still get amazed, fascinated. they're married na pala, i still can't grasp the thought. i feel like i was only visiting them as a barkada. like the old days where we used to sleep at each other's house. o well, im 25, and i still cant hold that thought in my mind.

it's my day off today.
i was actually planning on having a driving session with tatay. see, i've been taught how to drive since i was in high school. i learned the basics, but never got the courage to try it out. someday, i still dream of conquering edsa, the narrow streets of quiapo, divisoria, the winding curves of bitukang manok going to quezon. but for now, i'd have to conquer my fears first.
my plan did not push thru because nanay asked me if i could come with her, she wants to visit a friend who's been sick since july last year. after the visit, we went to festival mall to have lunch, it was a late lunch actually since it was already almost 3pm in the afternoon.
Saying goodbye is never an easy thing.

As I handed my old cell phone to my sister, I told her not to delete the old (text) messages. I held it one more time and checked through the messages again. Those are some of the things that I really hold on to whenever I feel down. Messages of encouragements, appreciations and I even have a marriage proposal there! I just can't let go. But then, I told myself: these will always remain in me, it's just a matter of looking back. And another thought came in, these friends of mine are just a phone call/text away. I'm sure I'll have another round of mushy but sincere messages if I needed one. I deleted the old messages myself and handed the old unit down to my sister.

bought a new cell phone yesterday with my officemates. we sneaked out from work (the bosses better not be reading this).
