monday picture taking at tagaytay

that's the wicked sister, getting her face done by a classmate.

louraine asked me if i could take photos of her classmates for a group project. since i had nothing better to do, i happily obliged. i'll post more later if i finish the whole set.

to our dead sampaguita, may you rest in peace...

pinagbibintangan ng lola na ni-murder daw ng tatay ang kanyang alagang sampaguita. she doesn't directly say it, pero ganito kasi ang mga banat nya

"inaalagan ko naman mabuti, dinidiligan ng maayos, pero bakit namatay? bakit kaya namatay???"

parang gusto nyang sabihin na pinakialaman ni tatay ang halaman nya. for the obvious reason that it's only the two of them in the house who knows how to take care of plants.

so, to appease lola, dahil talaga namang hindi sya mapakali, we went to her suking garden shop to buy a replacement for the sampaguita. at siempre, tatay offered to drive us there. since we have the convenience of the car, lola brought along the dead sampaguita and other pots so that the plant she would by later could already be placed on those pots.

when we reached aling conching's garden, i handed lola my purse, so i can take photos of some of the flowers. while taking picture, i heard tatay talking with one of the gardeners

"pare, paki-autopsy naman itong sampaguita namin. paki-tingin kung ano talaga ang sanhi ng kanyang pagkamatay"

gusto kong gumulong sa kakatawa, kasi after nun, humirit na naman si lola, with the same line

"inaalagan ko naman mabuti, dinidiligan ng maayos, pero bakit namatay? bakit kaya namatay???"

ang pobreng hardinero, mukhang walang maisagot. and perhaps sensing that he is in deep threat (masama na ang tingin ng lola ko - ang kanyang malupit na dagger looks, and my father's facial contortion signaling a heated debate is so much obvious).. he just said

"baka po kasi nagalaw ang ugat, o baka naparami ng dilig"

hhmm. playing safe si manong hardinero.

ang tatay ko, napakamot na lang ng ulo, but my lola, she never stopped complaining. hindi ko na inintindi kung ano na ang mga sinabi ng lola. i just went on on taking photos.

lola had settled with 4 different flowering plants (akala ko sampaguita lang ang bibilihin namin), one is a sampaguita, and the other one is a forget me not. i don't know the names of the other two.

para sa aking ex

balita ko, kinukumusta mo daw ako (ang sabi pa ng kaibigan kong kinausap mo, mukha naman daw nagsasabi ka ng totoo, dahil hindi ako makapaniwala na kinukumusta mo ako). at bakit naman kasi hindi ako mismo ang lapitan mo at kausapin? siguro nahihiya ka sa 'kin, 'no? sa laki ba naman ng kasalanan mo sa akin, hindi na ako nagtataka. pero 'wag kang mag-alala, wala na sa 'kin yun. sa totoo nyan, nagpapasalamat pa nga ako sa mga nangyari. alam mo bang sa iyo ko naintindihan ng maigi ang salitang "pagpapatawad". oo, tama ang narinig mo. nung mga panahon na inaapi mo ako, halos gabi-gabi ako nagsisimba kasama ang nanay ko. kapag sasambitin ko na ang linya sa ama namin na - patawarin mo po kami, gaya ng aming pagpapatawad sa mga nagkakasala sa amin, mukha mo ang naiisip ko. hanggang sa naging maluwag na rin sa puso ko ang lahat ng mga nangyari, hanggang sa napatawad na kita.

ito na ata ang pinaka-boring na weekend ko. from saturday till today, all i did was sleep, eat and watch tv. no going out to the malls, no birhtday parties, no movies, no strolling outside, no out-of-town trips. home buddy ang drama. at bakit naman hindi, ang ulan kasi, walang humpay. tumigil man, saglit lang. maya-maya bubuhos na naman. sobrang lakas talaga manalangin ang mga pinoy! lampas langit, siksik, liglig, umaapaw! and the latest announcement from one of the bishops, stop praying for rain na daw. hahaha.. nakakatawa.

i don't actually mind getting wet from the rain. but what i despise about it is getting my pretty feet soaked. it's the most disgusting thing for me. my feet just can't take getting submerged in murky waters. i can instantly feel the nasty germs crawling upwards.

o well. since i'm confined inside our home sweet home, i took some photos to pass time

my sister just arrived. at ang bruha, may photoshoot pala sila! the one i'm supposed to take. we had some 'miscommunication' last night, kaya eto. anyway, there's one coming pa naman.

the call

i just got a call from a very dear friend of mine. she's getting married soon, and she wants me to take her pre-nup photos. as in the ACTUAL pre-nup photos, the ones that will be shown in slides on her wedding day. and she also told me that i'm one of the bridesmaids. ayan, double pressure, pressure na from the expectations for good photos, at pressure pa to get the right figure (diet diet!!!).

our special guest

she's staying with us until the end of the week.

another saturday at the studio

june welcomed my presence with this remark - "'yang batang yan ha! malaki ang potential na maging 'ricci' someday" her pouty mouth pointing at the chubby girl on the other side of the room

"ano?" i replied, looking confused.

"kasi ba naman, tinapakan ang paa ko!" june exclaimed with her eyebrows shooting up to the high heavens.

"baka naman natapakan ka, hindi tinapakan" i said, as if making an excuse from what the little girl did.

"tinapakan nya ako, kasi akala nya, naka point shoes ako. pagkatapos nya ako tapakan (and realizing that i wasn't wearing a point shoes), tinalikuran ba naman ako!"

"at bakit naman, ganyan ba ako noon?" i asked sheepishly.
