Soul Searching Friday

November 23, Friday

Got "caught" by Greysi and Kendi! So there, another good reason for going out. Went to Gracie's first to wait for Kendi and Cacay to pick me up, Gracie didn't come along, she's in 'Inday' mode for the afternoon. Watched One More Chance because I don't want to get left out (everyone in the group including the boys had already seen the movie!).

Surprisingly, not a single tear fell off. Two possible reasons -

1. Kendi is seated beside me, so I was half expecting her making fun of me had I shed tears,
2. I had cried too much during my past break-up that my dear heart is already callous with such dramas and booboos.

Went to Powerbooks afterwards to check for Cacay's wishlist. National bookstore followed for my planner.

Picked up Gracie at around 9pm and headed to Shell gas station in Mamplasan along SLEX. Had dinner at KFC and laughed out loud over Cacay's horror story during last year's super typhoon Milenyo.

Greysi and Kim followed at around 12midnight while we were having coffee and chips in Starbucks.

Too bad, no available photo of our group. I forgot I had the digicam all along (the Sony p&s). Below is the only pic for this day, that's me with Thea and Tanya in Gracie's home sweet home (photo taken by Gracie).

Wednesday Session

us again. we just can't get enough of each other, no?

the girls had watched 'one more chance' and were already starting dinner at fussion in greenbelt 3 when i came.

planned for our upcoming christmas party to be held at jeff's estate in tagatay.

braved through slex in hazzard lights because we can barely see what's in front sa sobrang lakas ng ulan.

kendi, in 'mang bonie' mode, took us all home. ayabyu kends!

Monday with Sael and Jovie

Met Sael, Jovie and his mom yesterday at shopwise, libis. Jovie has asked me to edit a layout they'd be using for a client's calendar, they own a printing press by the way.

And look what I got in return of a very small favor! A bunch of colorful flowers and a big box of toblerone chocolate!!! Not to mention that they've treated me to dinner the other night at Something Fishy in Eastwood.

here's our shot inside the bus. nanay didn't want to bring the car along - mahal ang gas, and it's hard to find a good parking space.

bombed

a bomb went off at congress last night. it blew off at the south wing lobby (which as of the moment, reports still could not verify where the bomb originated, some say it was from a congressman's suv, others say it was at actually at the lobby, while some speculate the it was from a motorcycle). the south wing is the side of congress where my mother gets in everday, where she parks the car near at. 2 were confirmed dead, while at least 9 were wounded. nothing gets scarier than that!

so now what? if congress weren't spared, tell me, are there anymore safe places to go to?

Thursday pizza

as usual, everthing hatched in the chatrum. at first, i thought bluff lang, until i talked with greysi on the phone. so there, dahil mga adik kame, at dahil mga kaladkarin kame, there goes another round of kita kits.

venue was at the caltex station, mamplasan, slex.

had pizza, sola (greysi, thanks for the free sola) and chips while 90's music blasts.

everyone stayed until 2am.

while trying to escape the MMDAs on a Thursday morning rush hour

one technique i use on nanay (aside from pulling her arms and legs) to make sure she gets up early for work is laying beside her on the bed and pester her until she gives up and gets up. until eventually, it has become a habit (minus the pestering) that i do even on evenings or on late afternoon siestas on weekends, laying beside her just for nothing.

nanay: humiga ka ba sa tabi ko kanina, mga 4:30am?
cutie: nopes, baka si louraine
nanay: hindi hihiga sa tabi ko yun, unless may kailangan sya
cutie: talaga? *blushes*

so there, at that moment, i snatched the best daughter award trophy.
